Jordan - Amman

Compared to Damascus, which felt very historical, Amman is a spread out, modern looking city. We stayed at the old part of town for one night at a terrible hotel (bedding smelled like sweat) and decided it was time to check into a Marriott and take a vacation from vacation.

I love your "vacation from vacation"... did you actually go into Popeye's? From my vague recollection from 10+ years ago, Popeyes was pretty popular in Seoul then....
You guys dressed up more than we did for Halloween...BTW, I dressed up as a lawyer.

Which haircut did Bill get this time? We already covered Dumb & Dumber and Full Metal Jacket.

We did in fact go to popeyes -- fantastic.

I got the zoolander cut, you know, the one that is very, very, very . . . . very good looking.

Jeeheon is going for the hippy look, or she's just afraid of what they'll do to her hair (and after what I've been through with various barbers on this trip, her fear is somewhat justified).

well, it's true that with the scarf over your head, it's really not necessary to cut (or wash) the hair :)

the zoolander cut is not complete without the pout.. :)

The scarf doesn't help, because I don't have to wear one unless I am in a mosque - tho I wear it if I am somewhere rural and I am the only woman not wearing it. I think some women that wear the scarf compensate the lack of hair with make-up...some girls wear really heavy makeup!
