Brazil/Argentina - Iguazu Falls

Iguazu Falls sit on the border of Argentina and Brazil. First, we went to the Argentinean side of Iguazu Falls. It is currently school vacation time in Argentina and it was insanely crowded. We practically had to stand in line to get a view and people elbowed each other to take pictures - terrible:

Hiking trail:

The Brazilian side of the waterfalls was much better - it wasn´t crowded at all and I thought it provided more of a panoramic view:

Bill went to see the Itaipu Dam, the biggest hydroelectric power plant in the world. It provides 90% of total electricity for Paraguay and 30% for Brazil (I didn´t go - I was sleeping.):

Heather - Definitely Keisha next! Good luck carrying him in your suitcase tho - I had him in my carry on bag and was so nervous they would search my bag...how embarassing would that be!

Woni - yeah, finally warm weather! It´s pretty easy to do laundry in South America - so far, we just sent it out for about $10 (didn´t see self service laundry-mats), but in Brazil, since things are more expensive, there are self-service ones.

Laundry is so cheap! Are you guys by any chance going to London soon (perhaps in early Sept)?

All the pics from the trip on my cy are from Nana's. I brought my old film camera.. I have about 14 rolls of films, which means I will end up with 14*36 pictures!!! I'm too scared to get them developed. Not bringing a digital camera was a stupid move.. BUT, it's convenient to just puh-gga everything from Nana's home-p :)!

Are you guys really in Canada at Niagra Falls and saying you are in Brazil just to sound exotic?

Woni - are you going to London in Sept? Early Sept, we will be in Spain. Going to Greece afterwards. Meet us there! You can get really cheap flights in Europe right now, if you book ahead of time. (www.ryanair.com)

Kathy - Bill is working on tanning his upper leg right now, in preparation for the speedo...

Brooklyn - Nope, never been to Niagara Falls, Canada. I have been to the US side of Niagara Falls tho, which was beautiful...

Hey guys, your blog is great I check up on you every once in a while, see where you're at and what you've seen. It's a nice way to kill some time now and again. Anyway it looks like you're having the time of your lives. I'm tentatively working on getting to southeast Asia sometime this winter. Should time and funds allow, it would be great to try to meet up with you guys for a bit somewhere halfway around the world, a long way from Cheney. It would be a trip, as they say. Well keep having fun. I look forward to seeing what's next. I'll be in touch. Take care, Dan
