Kenya - Nairobi
Due to poor planning, we have a week to kill in Nairobi before the safari starts. We are staying with a friend here in Nairobi, so we have been relaxing in the house, doing such cultural activities as watching TV and going to the mall.
Nairobi suburb:
On day 5, we realized how ridiculous it was that we have been sitting on the couch watching movies about Africa IN AFRICA. So we hired a taxi to drive us around the nearby Nairobi National Park.
This is the view of the city center from the park:
Despite its proximity to the city, we saw quite a few animals, such as,
Giraffes:
Zebras:
Gazelles:
We also saw buffalo, ostriches, warhogs and some funky looking birds, all while sitting in a taxi cab!

Seriously, cool animal pics. Must be interesting seeing all the different animals there. Glad you got off the couch, there will be plenty of time for that when youget home and start working again. :)
